About Perceptive Photography
Perceptive Photography was set up by Syman Kaye and Victoria Fordham
in April 2003 to offer wedding, portrait and commercial photography
throughout the southeast of England, Sussex, Surrey, Kent and beyond.
Our aim from the start was to provide photography with a contemporary
and relaxed feeling. No brown or blue mottled backgrounds. No stiff
formal poses. Just natural, relaxed and modern images. You can see if
we achieved this aim by visiting our gallery
. Starting from humble beginnings, we now have a fully equipped digital
photography and print studio in Heathfield, East Sussex. Using the latest
digital cameras, printers, computers and web servers we are able to
offer a complete photographic and image publishing service to private
customers and businesses.
About Syman Kaye (LRPS, LBPPA)
Born in South Africa in 1977, I (Syman) moved to the UK in 1988 at
the the age of 10. I was given an old slr camera, by my then photographer
grand father, as a leaving present and that's how it all started. My
formal photographic training began at 15 with a GCSE (1year, Grade A+)
in photography and then "A" levels (2 years) in Photography
(A), Art (B) and Art history (B) at Lewes Tertiary College. From Lewes
I went onto do a 1 year art, photography and design "foundation
course"at Brighton Technical College and then a Higher National
Diploma (2 years) at the same college.
From there I went on to various jobs in print labs and photography studios,
gradually building my experience in both photography and the business
that surrounds it. 2003 marked a turning point when I quit my full time
job and set up "Perceptive Photography". I haven't looked
back since and consider myself privileged to do the thing I love and
call it work. I am passionate about what I do and truly enjoy doing
it, which I hope comes across in my photographs. In the last few years
I have gained my licentiate to the Royal Photographic Society (LRPS)and
the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (LBPPA).
In my spare time I enjoy, paragliding(BHPA -CP pilot rated), snow boarding,
mountain biking, scuba diving (padi advanced open water diver), surfing
and any other adrenaline packed sport I can find.

About Victoria Fordham
Vicky is an Associate of the British Professional Photographers association ABPPA, this distinction puts her in the top 5% of photographers in the UK. This distinction is very highly regarded within the photographic industry. Vicky is extremely talented and creative and has won numerous awards for her work. Her work has been exhibited at the Truman brewer Art gallery and in numerous publications.
